Subject NYMEX Market Data Traded on CME Globex Via CME Market Data Platform (MDP) - Final Testing Opportunity

In preparation for the listing of 4 NYMEX options contracts (Crude Oil and Natural Gas Options and COMEX Gold and Silver options) on CME ® Globex ® on June 24, 2007, as well as the migration of NYMEX market data to CME MDP, testing of NYMEX futures and options market data traded on CME Globexwill be conducted on Saturday, June 23, 2007. 

 

Please be reminded that this coming Saturday, June 23, 2007, presents the final testing opportunity for NYMEX market data traded on CME Globex via CME’s MDP, prior to going into production on June 24. 

 

Mock Trading

Mock trading will be held between 9:00 a.m. Central Daylight Time (CDT) and 11:00 a.m. CDT.  NYMEX will be participating in the test, offering side-by-side comparison of NYMEX ITC 2.1 market data via its multi-cast feed versus NYMEX market data traded on CME Globex via the CME MDP.  Please note that there will be no concentrated replay of market data (market data “blast”), as in the prior two Saturday test dates.  Distributors wishing to test should utilize the data from mock trading.

 

While testing, we kindly request that all distributors call the conference bridge number below to confirm receipt of market data:

This conference bridge number will be available from 8:30 a.m. CDT until 11:00 a.m. CDT, should anyone encounter any connectivity issues prior to the start of mock trading at 9:00 a.m. CT.

 

Sample Files Available

CME has NYMEX market data traded on CME Globex via MDP sample files from last weekend’s test available in either ITC 2.1 or RLC format, as well as NYMEX ITC 2.1 multicast feed data, for any distributors that wish to conduct individual testing; please be aware that the files are very large (up to 6MB, zipped).
